You don’t have to be very eagle eyed to start to wonder about what is seen on the latest Euromomo cumulative all cause mortality charts1.
2022 is in light blue and there is a line for each year from 2018 (red) through 2022 with 2020 in grey and 2021 in dark blue all overlaid on each other for weeks 1-52 for easy comparisons.
So. What the hell is 2022 doing setting cumulative death records for <45yo’s never mind now surpassing 2021 and headed for 2020 levels for all ages!? (And this is in mid summer so we are untethered from any winter C19 seasonality insofar as we would normally think of its effect.)
If C19 is still completely over-riding everything else and causing such havoc to justify the continual crushing of individual liberty to battle it at all costs, then how can our genius “betters” argue that these high death levels aren’t from C19? (Spoiler: They’re mostly not.)
Well, but the injections have fixed it right since if we fix C19 all will be good? Um, not unless I should be looking at something more authoritative for Europe than Euromomo? Bzzzzt, no.
And if we want to argue that we have not had enough injections in the young (the inverse of the actual truth) then let’s remember that all ages chart and look harder at 65+ who have been heavily injected pretty much everywhere:
That’s right, in 2022 we have barreled past 2021 levels to date and now appear on course to surpass 2020 even more so than the all ages chart!
This is nothing that a few billion more Pfshots and astronomical Pfrofitability can’t Pfix I’m sure.
Say, did I forget to mention that I have some Pfswamp Pfland on sale today just for you?
In previous posts I have been critical that the Euromomo charts do not at least have an option to display by respiratory virus seasonality weeks (e.g. like CDC FluView’s — now improved with PIC/Covid mode! — use of weeks 40-39) instead of just weeks 1-52 which can unevenly allocate seasonal viruses between years that peak generally in winter. But that is of secondary concern for this post as you’ll see.
