Colorado: Same data in, same analysis out
The estimable Joel Smalley does a personal C19 analysis work corpus summation that complements my work on Larimer County. Nice.
First, go read Joel Smalley’s latest summation of his analysis work on C19 where he serendipitously chooses to compare C19’s progression and idiosyncrasies by contrasting Colorado, Utah and Kansas as a baseline to hang his points on.
I’ll wait.
Now go back and look especially at his 4th and 5th charts. In the 4th you see CO stand out with a “case hump” in Apr/May 2021 compared to UT and KS.
Now guess what I see in the main chart of my pinned post on Larimer County, CO?:
That’s right, the double red circle with two upward pointing red arrows from the first and second vaccination rate peaks and corresponding case (blue line), hospital (orange shading), and death (red “square wave”) rate surges in April/May 21 align perfectly with Joel’s CO case rate peak at the same time (blue line hump in the rightmost third of his 4th chart chart).
And in his fifth chart you can see a ramp heading upward from that point — the point of vaccination surge in the general population rather than just the elderly — in excess deaths in all three states which also perfectly complements and supplements the succeeding run of my chart since my analysis does not include excess deaths explicitly.
Thanks for the confirmation Joel.
And Joel’s post is a very well done summation of the lunatic C19 situation in basically all other aspects as well.
Kudos and highly recommended.
